Even Wolves Dream

As the night draws closer
And the air get cold
The pack starts to stir
Rising, fearless and bold

For the time has come
To hunt and track
This group is strong
They are a great pack

The leader emerges
He is strong and sleek
He is full of courage
He is at his peak

He looks at his pack
Then up at the clouds
He raises his muzzle
And begins to howl

They all join in
It is their choice
They open their jaws
And add their voice

Howling down legends
Their ancient past
Honouring the night
Which approaches fast

After the hunt
When they've had their fill
And cleaned their muzzles
And buried their kill

As dawn approaches
The sky getting bright
They rereat to their dens
So they are out of sight

They drift off to sleep
Yet in their thoughts it seems
That the hunt is still on
For even wolves dream

This was a poem I wrote to put on my Pegasus' picture

Lightening Chaser

As fast as her name suggests
Beautiful and bright
She dances with the lightening
She's such a wonderful sight

Her coat as blue as a storm
Bright silver her tail, feathers and mane
She is such a wonder to behold
No one could ever say she's plain

Her powerful wings raise her up
She plays high in the sky
Weaving in and out of clouds
Prancing and playing on high

Pegasus, such a beautiful creature
No one could ever tame her
For she is as wild as the wind
She is the Lightening Chaser
